Default questions about recruiting and opportunities

I am trying to develop a sales team nation wide, we have 3 recruitiers all posting on craigslist and scanning monster for the right canidates. We often get people sending us resumes, they complete a sales rep agreeement visit training and then the mysterious we get no sales.

Has anyone experienced this in the past?

Additionally we are looking to develop our local market space, we place ads, we list on craigslist and use monster and the same thing we get resumes but we get a lot of no shows for the interview, or we get the interview we like the person they like our product and again no results?

What are we doing wrong???? Any suggestions.

Have you tried a sales specialist recruitment agency?

Also ensure your package is up to specification. Check on sales job boards for jobs similar to your own. Do they have a better package - salary OTE, benefits etc.

Also, without knowing where you are based, your location could be a problem for some sales people?

Also you need to check your training is up to spec and the product itself is sellable.

There are a hundred possible reasons. Dealing with an experienced sales recruitment agency might help you answer all these questions as they will have dealt with similar employers (who are in affect your competitors). Yes there is a cost involved - but what is the cost of all these non sales?
