Kompass Directory

Hello,

I have been using the U.K. version of the Kompass directory for the past 12 months for cold calling to the U.K.'s IT/Software industry and I find the directory to be half full of dud numbers, bust companies etc. The licencing is up on the software now and I dont feel it is worth the 700 euro to renew it.
Has anybody got any suggestions as to what might be a better piece of software to buy for this purpose.???

1: Is cold calling the best use of your time?
2: If you are a telesales person , prospect profile first
3: Lots of companies sell this sort of data, but a word of warning, if you buy a profiled database it will be in most cases as bast as Kompass!!!
