This question goes to everyone who still read this site. I read some of the statements about sales, the different areas of sales, and people who are either considered an order taker or a salesman. But, have you ever bought speakers out of a van? If you haven't and someone flags you down and ask you if you want a couple of speakers for your house pull over and listen to a great pitch. But, those of you who have been pitch by someone selling speakers out of a van, would realize that this guy who just yelled out of window and asked if you wanted a pair of speakers. Then, if you do pull over to listen to his pitch you would notice that the guy has more control over the sale than you do in picking your cloths in the morning. Then, before you know it you talking price playing the high low game and finally if the price is right the guy jams you with a set of speakers and follows you to the local ATM where you pull out money to pay him.
This situation is the perfect example of an awesome hard sale. Great Pitch, Control, Find Need even when there wasn't one, Negotiation, and the Jam (or close). |
