I want to wait

I sell credit card terminals and credit card processing service.

This is a common answer I hear from the merchants when I approach them, "I just started the business, I would like to wait and see how business goes for a couple of months before I accept credit cards". How do I handle such an answer? Are they saying this because they dont trust me? Can anybody help me on this?
