Default Worst Sales Job

Just wondering what bad sales jobs you guys have had in the past. I thought my Tele-marketting job was bad untill I ended up replying to an ad in a local paper to become a door to door salesman, I lasted a week trying to sell knives to people who really don't need them. Needless to say I didn't sell anything and ended up out of pocket :(

I've been pretty lucky when it comes to jobs, the worst job would probably be working in an electronic store selling overpriced products to unsuspecting buyers :(

My worst sales job was definitely a telemarketing sales job. All cold calls. I totally hated it. However, I have never done the door-to-door thing and can see how that would probably be even worse.

I agree direct door - door selling is awful, I remember doing this with a friend she had asked for some help we used to sell lots of household goods knocking on doors, so many doors were slammed in my face or abusive people it was awful and over the phone selling is a lot better!

My worst job is selling pirated VCD and DVD. I worked in that company for 5 years. I can't imagine myself promoting pirated Cd's to the customers. In addition, for 5 years working, my salary never increased.

I think it takes a certain type of person to be happy selling door-to-door or cold calling as a telemarketer.

I assume that there's quite a turn-around in these positions?
