Cold Calling!!

I've got a good few leads already and this is only the second day.
I was also told today that it was illegal, any truth in this?

Cold calling is easy as pie once you know how to do it. I used to hate prospecting / cold calling until I learned what to do and what not to do.

Cold calling is ruthless and rude. I shun upon anyone who uses the technique.

If you can get passed the first 3 minute in cold calling, you stand a very high chances of getting the sale. Most people that I called just say "I'm not interested" or "I'm very busy right now" and then they hung up.

I think some here are confusing cold calling with telemarketing.

I agree with you John Doe...if that is your real name, lol! A "sales" job without the need to prospect isn't, at least to me, a sales job at all. 90% of my time is prospecting. Though I wouldn't say I enjoy it, I'm very good at it, because I know it's absolutely necessary to meet quotas and increase territory revenue.
