The wisdom of George Best

Out of interest did anyone read the article the other day written by George Best , it was in the Night and Day magazine (Sunday Mail).
He made the comment that professional football players are underpaid,
i.e £100,000 per week is not enough.
What planet does this guy live on.
I know some footballers are extremely gifted and as such should be well paid , but £100,000 per week ,I think not.
Also Mr Best has recently undergone life saving surgery, what does he feel about the salaries of the Doctors and nurses who saved his life,
their skills are imeasurably greater than those of a footballer.
Let's face it sport in general is fuelled by excessive greed, it's pathetic,
and so are Mr Bests comments.

Actors are grossly overpaid , but on the face of it 'good' actors contribute far more than some of the jumped up little t*****s that kick a ball about for a living

I think the fact of the matter is that actors and athletes are in show business, and show business money is bigger than regular money. It's not right or wrong, it's just what is.
