To be honest I think you should have understood how you would be measured which normally includes hitting a target and the relevant commission plan and reporting that goes with it, at the interview or after you received the offer.

Your note suggests that you have no alternative but to find another job, but be smart and don't tell anyone that you are doing so as it would be good to make things difficult for them when you leave.

And if you can recommend any of your hard working/professional current colleagues to your new employer, this would add to your current employers woes.

I'm confident that you will address commision plans/reporting at interview/offer stage with any future employer.
